Vocabulary... ELEMENTS OF ART:VALUE&FORM TECHNIQUE: STIPPLING with Pen and Ink Pen and Ink is a method of illustration that comes from the days when artists used feather quills dipped in an ink "well" to write with. Today we do not use feathers anymore, we have invented metal Nibs of various shapes and sizes for different kinds of marks and fit them onto pen holders. Artists use these pens to draw and create Calligraphy with these pens. We will use a pointy marker to simulate the look of a Pen and Ink technique because it is easier for beginners to use and control.
